Members benefits news and Events

Today, Reliance Credit Union serves the employees of the Board of Public Utilities, along with their spouses and children, as well as anyone who works or resides in Johnson, Leavenworth or Wyandotte counties. Membership, once established, may continue even though the credit union member would not be eligible for new membership.

Specifically, we serve:

  • Employees of the Board of Public Utilities; the employees’ son(s), daughter(s), or legally adopted children; spouses of the employees; current members of Reliance Credit Union; employees of Reliance Credit Union; the employees’ son(s), daughter(s), or legally adopted children, and spouses of the Credit Union employees and the immediate family of any member of Reliance Credit Union.

  • Persons working or residing in the following counties of the Kansas City area: Wyandotte, Johnson and Leavenworth. As well as organizations of such members.

  • Individuals employed in the natural gas industry who are working in or paid from the Kansas City metropolitan area.

  • Employees of Western Resources, Inc., Southern Union Company, and its affiliate and subsidiary companies, members of their families, and organizations of such persons.

  • Members in good standing of United Steelworkers Union #12561, Gasworkers Union #781, Electrical Workers #124, Oil Chemical & Atomic Workers #5, members of their families and organizations of such persons.

To become a member, you must first open a SHARE ACCOUNT and maintain a $25 balance.

As a member, you become an equal owner of Reliance Credit Union and are given the opportunity to vote on whom you believe best represents your interests to serve on the Board of Directors.
